Stephany Powell Peugeot
Director of Southminster Child Care
My name is Stephany Powell Peugeot. I am originally from Brownsville, TN. I moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University. I graduated in 1992 with a degree in Social Work and Psychology.
In October of 1992 I married the love of my life, Chris. We have two beautiful daughters. Claire is 24 and completing her graduate degree in Psychology. She will graduate in December from Lipscomb University. Courtney is 20 and will be a junior at MTSU. We also have two crazy cats! Fez and Chloe!
I have always worked with young children. Volunteer work and a nanny in college. In the fall of 1998 I started teaching three year olds at my church Preschool. I loved that age and continued to teach until the fall of 2013. I then went to The Gardner School of Franklin. I was the assistant Director for six years. In June of 2019 I became the Director at the Brentwood Gardner School. I left the Gardner School in late October of 2020. I wanted to take some time off and enjoy my family. I found that I really missed working with children and decided to come back to childcare and started looking in the spring. I am so blessed to have found Southminster. I look forward to getting to know everyone.
Please stop by and visit our center. I’d love to meet you, show you our new school, and introduce you to our fantastic teachers!
Dana Ladd
Assistant Director
My name is Dana Ladd. I am the assistant director at Southminster Childcare. I started at Southminster in August of 2010. Prior to joining the Southminster team I worked in many roles the past 24 years of my childcare career. My love of children began at an early age. Watching children grow and learn has always been a joy in my life. Every child is a gift and teaching them has made a lasting impact on my life. The greatest joy is seeing their smiling face as they enter the building each morning.
I am blessed to have a son of my own. JP is 26 and the greatest gift. I am the youngest of four older brothers. I enjoy family time and going to live music events.
I look forward to the future of Southminster Child Care and the possibility of growth in our community.
